Product Description

Extrordinary acoustic performance in a stage and studio ready acoustic/electric instrument. The Supernatural TAN16C dreadnought is handcrafted in our pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. The underlying theme of the Supernatural series is understated elegance. Gloss finish provides durability and lasting beauty. The look is accented by a genuine abalone rosette and fretboard dot inlays. Gold tuning machines with amber pearl buttons further add to the premium look of the instrument. All Supernatural series tonewoods are hand-selected, premium grade timbres. A solid sitka spruce top, supported by scalloped X bracing, is voiced for power, deep lows, sweet mids and a cutting high end. An excellent choice whether you play solo or in a full band environment ... this guitar does it all. A solid Indian Rosewood back aids in projection. A pinless bridge makes string changing a breeze. 5.0 out of 5 stars The one I was searching for..., May 14, 2007
Beautifully constructed and finished, amazing sound either acoustic or plugged.

This guitar is wonderful, just 2 weeks playing and it works very well. The woods give you a bright tone but sweet at the same time, the balance between bass and treble is wonderful. Very comfortable to play either with your fingers or with a pick.

When you play it acoustic it sounds incredible but when you plugged it is when you find its real value, the preamp itself sounds good but when you include the on board tube on the chain the sound is huge, sweetly compressed as only tubes can. No more boomy bass on a guitar, you can understand every detail. I have even played on some concerts with it and everyone at my band is amazed. Nice choice. I made an extensive research and found this like the one I was searching for... now that I own it, I can proudly say that I was right.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent solid-wood guitar with first-rate electronics..., June 13, 2010

Takamine has been at it for a long and it shows. This is an excellent solid-wood guitar with first-rate electronics. Beats almost everything in this price range; certainly much more guitar for the money than the Martins and Taylors in this price range. The CoolTube sounds great live and records well too. Would highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Takamine TAN16C, December 24, 2011

This review is from: Takamine Supernatural Series TAN16C Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural with Case (Electronics)
Just had this guitar a few days so can't comment accurately about it. It has a great sound, plugged or unplugged, and appears to be very well made. Neck is alot smaller than the Alvarez 12 string I have been playing for several years so it will take some getting use to the 6 string again. This is the nicest guitar I have ever owned.
Will try to comment later after I have spent some time with it.
