The accuracy is very good. I have found that to get the weight total to lock in quickly that the best thing to do is to stand with your hands at your side and head held looking forward. I discovered that it doesn't like you cheating and looking down while it is calculatiing the total. I am a very big man with size 13 EEE feet and I have room to spare on the platform. I highly recommend this product. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Good Scale, By Turbospud (Salem VA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ideaworks Extra Wide Talking Scale (550 LB Capacity) The only complaint I have is the scale has trouble "locking in" on a weight within a pound or two. I have trouble standing perfectly still, even breathing sways the numbers on the scale. If it can't lock in then the talking part doesn't work. It only fluctuates 2 to 3 lbs in either direction, seems to me the company could set it so the scale would stop searching for exact weight after 30 seconds and just lock on by averaging the fluctuations, and speak the weight. When you're in the neighborhood of 475 lbs, 2 or 3 lbs fluctuation isn't going to make a heck of a lot of difference. Otherwise this is one of the better scales I've had. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Finally we can see progress!!!, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ideaworks Extra Wide Talking Scale (550 LB Capacity) Thank you thank you thank you for making an affordable scale that my husband can use. He keeps trying to lose weight, but none of the other scales go as high as he needs. It's very frustrating, and then he gives up because he can't tell if his diet is working or not. This scale has been a Godsend so far. He knows exactly how he's doing, and it keeps him motivated to continue. Also, the extra wide platform is great because my husband is 6'5" and has the feet to match! He was a little worried about the glass, but it hasn't been a problem. Also, my 5 year old weighs herself about 3 times a day because she likes the voice! :) |
