The Shredmaster is fully compatible with Guitar Hero games and works perfectly with the Wii Remote. Features a custom heavy metal styling, responsive whammy bar, sturdy bi-directional strum bar, built-in analog stick and both full-sized and mini-sized fret buttons.

Since Guitar Hero came out for the Wii last year, many gamers have been trying to find a substitute for the guitar add-on for the Wii version of Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. The Wii Shredmaster wireless guitar, work well with the Wii controller and Guitar Hero games, but doesn't compare much to the actual price of the add-on guitar for the Wii title. Unfortunately, there is also one big problem. Unlike the Shredmaster editions that were made for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 systems, which also could be used to jam your way to that other great music game Rock Band as well, the Wii version is strictly for Guitar Hero games only. All in all, if you need an extra guitar to jam to for Guitar Hero, you're just better off with the one Les Paul autographed one for the Wii. It works better, but with the lack of playing Rock Band, just buying this one, would be just wishful thinking in rocking the Wii away.

We bought this for Christmas and the sound quality is terrible. It sounded like we were using the wammy bar on every single note and it distorted the songs so badly we didn't even want to play with it. I sent it back to the company and after 8 weeks, still do not have the guitar back. I have called the company every day for a week and finally got through only to be told that they don't know if they have my controler they will look and call back. Buy from someone else!

I bought this guitar and when it came I was not all that impressed with it. After I used it for a while, I realized I didn't want it for two main reasons. The whammy bar did not work when I received it. Dreamgear would have fixed it under warranty but I would have had to ship it to them costing me $12, not too expensive but I would be paying for something that didn't work when I received it, Amazon took it back free of charge and covered shipping. The second thing that was just horrible is the amount of noise that the strum bar makes while playing it, you will hear every time you play every note, squeek, squeek, squeek, it drove everyone else nuts including myself. I recently purchased the logitech guitar for the wii and the difference in price equates to a lot better quality.
