Compound Radius Fingerboard

A Damn Good Guitar, June 14, 2011 By  Thepewt - See all my reviews This review is from: Jackson JS32 King V w/Floyd Rose Electric Guitar - Black, Gig bag included I bought this guitar as an upgrade from my fender Starcaster. when I 1st bought it I loved it, but this guitar does have it's flaws. At first you'll think this guitar is perfect, but after awhile you'll realise that this guitars pickups have to be changed, they are way to muddy with distorted tones, and this is a guitar for heavy metal, so if you play thrash metal or any other kind you'll need distortion, I popped some Seymour Duncan Distortions and this baby sounds like it's from the pro series (no joke I played this next to a KV5 and it sounded just as good). the Floyd rose is pretty good for a knock off, though I changed it to a black Floyd rose original, but it stay into tune very well. the machine heads are pretty good, they stay in tune very well, but I changed them to Grover Rotomatic tuners, also black. All in all this guitar is amazing, and if you upgrade it like me it will be as good, if not better than a pro series king V.
