I bought the guitar to practice with when another guitar would be too bulky.

It is incredibly quiet with no amplification. I believe you could play this thing in a library.

The guitar is very solid and the design looks to be very well thought out.

When hooked up to an amplifier it sounds pretty good. I don't know if I would perform a concert with it, but then again, I am not ready for prime time anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ok travel guitar, May 11, 2010

Do not try to compare the sound and tone with your real classical guitar you will only get disappointed, treat this as a different type of nylon string guitar.

You need to be willing to adjust your playing position in order to use this guitar more efficiently.

Changing strings requires more patience; when changing strings put number D and G strings first.

Squeaks are very audible, recommended to buy high end polished classical strings like LaBella La Bella Guitar String Set

Sound and tone can greatly improve with Korg Pandora 4pxa

I really like how "small" it is

I can finally rehears at my small house where I can keep the kids and wife happy :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Difficult for a beginner, balance wrong, tinny sound, February 17, 2011

OK so I am no expert. I wanted something to practice on without being bulky. It is light, but compared to what- no lighter than a full scale classical guitar. Sound is OK if I kill the treble on the amp. Biggest problem is the balance. Even though it has no head, it is head heavy. The removable metal leg rest is not over the centre of gravity, so you have to support with your left hand, making the fingering more difficult. So I bought a strap, but for some strange reason the support pin is that far from the head, it is head heavy with a strap too!
I was shocked when I unwrapped the packing and saw the "Made in China" sticker. I thought I was supporting the US economy!
BTW you will probably want to buy a clip-on tuner, as a microphone type tuner does not work.
If they fix the balance- like move the head end strap support pin and re-design the metal leg rest, It will be a good product.
