| 17 of 17 people found the following review helpful  A Newborn Must Have!, Amazon Verified Purchase I received a premium infant "spa" bath as a gift which included a cot-like attachment for the newborn phase. However, I still seemed to always have to use 1 hand to hold the head while bathing and because my baby's body was only half submerged I felt he was chilly despite the warm water. I looked into some other brands and nothing seemed too impressive, my Mom told me about these sponge cut-outs she used with us as babies. I found this brand and decided to try it out and it is the PERFECT solution! It craddles the baby and keeps his head in place and out of the water PLUS the sponge absorbes the warm bath water to keep his body warm while I bathe him, it turned bathime from a chore into one of his favorite activities! I use this in the infant tub, but could easily be used in a sink (my bathroom sink is too shallow otherwise this would be my preferred method) or placed in the bathtub. Read more 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful Best Baby Bath, Some moms are afriad to put their small baby in the big tub. No need! Baby will stay right in place on the sponge. At first, just fill the tub up to the level of the sponge. This will give you enough water to clean the baby, but not so muh that it scares you. I wring this product out every night after bathtime. I was afraid that it would tear, but it hasn't yet. It hasn't lost any of it's shape at all. I used one of these when my children(22 & 18)were babies, and absolutely loved it!! I WAY prefer it over a tub, it is so much more convenient, and more comfy for baby. I just ordered one for my grandson,and cannot wait to get it! I've been using a baby bath,a very nice one at that, and I always end up having to use one hand to keep him from slipping down into the water, and the other hand to bathe him. No thanks, bring on the sponge mat! =) |
