Standard self installation (30 -40 minutes)...Reads iPod immediately (doesn't take any time to read information before starts playing). U can unplug iPod at any time you want. Card reader works like a charm as well!!! Works also with large cards (i use 16Gb). Doesn't take any time to read card info before it starts playing!!! AUX and mini USB also work without any problems. radio comes with a USB cord. Blue-tooth works great! And it is very easy to switch from blue-tooth option to hand phone by just pressing the (>>)"next" button I just love it!!!! it suits me well!!! I do recomend it!!!! A friend of mine already bought one after playing with my radio!!! 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Not bad in a few ways, bu some inexplicable flaws., By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Boss 755DBI In-Dash Solid State MP3 Receiver with Built-In iPod Docking Station (Electronics) I bought this radio as a replacement for the stock unit in my Miata. The stock radio burned out and I pretty much just wanted something with an aux in and a USB port. This isn't a bad radio. It is inexpensive and it has those features. It's easy to use, except for tuning FM (a low priority feature for me since I listen to my own music.) The USB port happily charges my music player, which means I don't have to worry about running out of power on a long trip. That said, it feels very cheaply made. The iPod dock is an annoying feature, as it is easy to pop it out accidentally. Unfortunately I didn't realize the USB port is a mini USB port. While a lot of cellphones use a miniusb port to charge nowadays, I don't actually have a miniusbto miniusb cable to check to see if my phone will charge. Most phones are picky about cables and come with a standard USB to mini cable which works. Most music players also come with a proprietary to standard USB cable. A standard sized... For about $100, does everything I wanted:* Charge and play iPod touch- without any cords! * Front-mounted aux in for laptop or other MP3 players * Simple controls * Bluetooth The negative points in the other reviews are true: * Bluetooth audio isn't the best- but you can always pass it back to the handset * Equalizer on LCD is always on and largely useless * iPOD tray comes out easily- but the iPOD Touch insert snaps in so it's always out anyway * Clock won't stay on display when playing radio or other input Still, these are minor issues to deal with for the price. I've put a 1000 miles on the vehicle since installation, $100 well spent. |
